This Aging in Place Toolkit has been prepared by:
-
United Way British Columbia (UWBC) and
-
The Aga Khan Council for Canada.
It was adapted and digitalized from the original Aging in Place checklist prepared by the Forum of Federal/Provincial/Territorial (F/P/T) Ministers Responsible for Seniors, specifically the English text content (as posted here). This was done with permission from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). The Aging in Place Toolkit acts a guide for older adults to think about the future and how they can prepare. Making a plan will give older adults the best chance to have a satisfying and positive experience as they age, and will help them to age in place.
The statements and facts provided throughout the Toolkit can be cited with a list of references (click here to view the Reference list). These references are not cited throughout the online Toolkit but are included on the PDF version, using endnotes.
The Aging in Place Toolkit website is managed by the United Way British Columbia and as such adopts the privacy policy used by UWBC as described on the Privacy Policy page (click here).
The Aging in Place Toolkit is available in both English and French.
